The earliest record of a Lorne team dates back to the late 1850’s.
To keep the local cricket team fit, a football team was organised.
Players formed teams and played against each other.
Before the current location of Stribling Reserve all competition took place on the foreshore.
In 1919 Lorne competed in the Winchelsea Association along with Winchelsea, Birregurra, Wensleydale and Deans Marsh.
Brian Taylor – Number 1 Ticket Holder
“We love supporting LFNC when in town, Our only disappointment is that we can not get there to watch games and generally be part of it due to our work commitments. You have a great club with a diverse range of supporters, players & officials. This mixture of unusual personalities draws us to the club.”
Mick Turner
“The LFNC is the heartbeat of the town, it’s where you need to be if you plan on being part of the local community. Let’s face it, the young people run the town… they supply all the food, they supply all the trades, they hog all the waves and they do a great job representing LFNC. It’s exciting to visit the club when I’m in town.”
